The Lenox Group advised Kentucky Indiana Lumber Co., Inc. (“K-I Lumber”) on its sale to US LBM Holdings, LLC (“US LBM”), a portfolio company of BlackEagle Partners, LLC. K-I Lumber, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is a leading distributor of lumber and building products. Founded in 1932 by Walter Freeman, Sr., K-I Lumber began as a wholesale lumber operation linking mills to retail customers in the Louisville marketplace. Today, the Company has grown to become a one-stop shop for building products providing a complete line that includes cabinetry, windows, doors, trusses, components, roofing, siding, and framing materials to the Kentucky and Indiana markets. The Company also has full-service distribution centers in Lexington, Kentucky; Clarksville, Indiana; and Evansville, Indiana; as well as a truss and wall panel manufacturing facility in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
US LBM, recipient of the 2013 HCN Pro Dealer of the Year Award, is a collection of 15 leading building material distributors across the U.S in 14 states with 90 locations.
